  • ADSL stands for Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line. It is also referred to as Broadband. ADSL is a broadband technology providing fast Internet access (amongst other applications) over existing telephone lines. These pages cover an overview of what ADSL is and how ADSL works. It uses the same line as your normal phone system, so you can still make voice calls while using the Internet

    • No Internet phone bill - you only pay a monthly subscription fee.

    • It gives you a permanent, AlwaysOn connection to the Internet No need to wait for dial-up to connect and authenticate. Supports both static and dynamic IP address assignment.

    • The fast speed means fast streaming video, downloads take seconds.

    • ADSL Should mean subscribers get speeds 10 x that of a dial up connection.

I will continue the Router guides and will have a Zoom X4 setup guide with screen shots before to long. Some point over the next two weeks is my plan. The forum is now open and ready for your views and suggestions.
