Setup

Well at times most new users probably do set their ADSL up as below. Then ring up technical support claiming it does not work! So if your ADSL light on your modem/router is not syncronised and your BT Phone Socket looks like the picture below, dont be surprised if it does not work. You will probably have a flashing ADSL light on most devices a red light at some point. If you get a dialup error code it will most likly be error 680 or no dial tone.

        

Well the perfect setup is as below. No leads on extension reels no huge double sockets. The only way to know for sure is to setup as below.

     BT socket ->      Filter ->      RJ-11 Lead ->      ADSL Modem/Router ->      USB Cable/RJ-45(If Using A Network Card) ->
     Computer ->      =  Working ADSL :O)
