Getting Your IP Address
To get your IP Address on Windows 2000 or XP you will need a command prompt window open.
Goto "start" then "run" and in the open box type in "command" then press "OK". If you are using Windows 98 just simply type in the run box "winipcfg".
Just type in "ipconfig" and press enter. You will then have displayed your IP Address from your ISP.
If you are using a router this wont work as your router is the default gatway.
If you are using a router you will probably only see your assign IP Network address as
you are most likley using
DHCP. Open your router configuration screen and you will somewhere have a gatway status, this should contain your IP Address.
